The Trang An ticket is 300,000 dong for anyone taller than 1.3 m, 150,000 dong for children of 1 to 1.3 m and for visitors over 60, and free under 1 m. It covers the boat and the sights on the route, and is sold at the Trang An wharf. A day tour from Hanoi includes it with transport, a guide, two other sights and lunch: the hero tour is from $52 in current promotion (usually $57) a person (checked November 2026).

The ticket is per person, for the boat and the sights on the route together; the list gives one price, with no price per route. The rower is part of the ticket. A tip is not, and the day-tour listings leave it to you.

When the wharf is the better buy
If you are sleeping in Ninh Binh or Tam Coc, the wharf ticket is the cheapest way onto the water: the wharf is 9.2 km by road from Ninh Binh railway station. You also choose your hour. From Hanoi the sum changes: add transport there and back, and 170,000 dong if you want Hoa Lu and Mua Cave as well, and you still have no guide. From Hanoi sets out the bus, the train and the tour.
Children and older visitors
Children under 1 m ride free and children of 1 to 1.3 m pay half. On the tours the operator’s own child rules apply: Amazing VietNam tour’s day with a choice of Trang An or Tam Coc charges children of 3 to 7 taller than 1.3 m the adult price. Visitors over 60 pay 150,000 dong at the wharf.
